How do I get my background check results?

This is one of the main questions we get asked at EZFingerPrints. We are going to break down for you in the top ways our customers receive their results.

Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA)

All background checks results under AHCA will be listed online through AHCA’s Clearinghouse. What is great about the clearinghouse is that your background check will be able to be accessed by any employing company under the Agency for Healthcare Administration. We do thousands of nursing licenses, certified nursing assistant license, home health employees, assisted living facilities, and every person asks the same questions. “Will my results be mailed to me?”. No, only employers receive the results of your background check. If your employer is licensed through ACHA they will have a username and password to access their Background Screening Unit’s website. With your permission the potential employer will be able to log online and see if AHCA has approved you to work.

Department of Childrens and Families (DCF)

All background checks from the Department of Children and Familieswill be sent to the employer requesting the background check check. This is through the OCA number. You can read more about ORI/OCA numbers in our previous blog post. Whether you are volunteering for the YMCA, School, or licensed business through DCF all results will be sent to the hiring employer or volunteer organization.
*New ORI numbers coming in March for DCF...Call us to learn more.

Department of Business and Regulations (DBPR)

Most background checks we provide for this governing agency is real estate licenses, liquor licenses, second hand dealers, etc. When applying for one of these licenses a level 2 FBI background check is required. Once the background check is completed and the license application is submitted, the state will either approve you for license or not approve you based on the results of the background check.

Department of Health (DOH)

Most background checks we provide for this governing agency is for a nursing license, sitting for a medical exam, etc. When applying for one of these licenses a level 2 FBI background check is required. Once the background check is completed and the license application is submitted, the state will either approve you for license or not approve you based on the results of the background check. The common misconception is that this background check can carry over into AHCA and that is not necessarily the case. We recommend you reach out to AHCA or DOH for the specific answer.
